VorbID Converter Privacy Policy
VorbID Converter is a currency and crypto converter and calculator for Android. This policy explains what information the app uses and why. In short: you never create an account, and the amounts you type and your calculations never leave your phone.
What stays on your phone
- The amounts you type, your calculations and their results.
- Your recent currency picks and your settings.
- The latest exchange rates, so the app also works offline.
We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location or files.
Downloading exchange rates
To get the latest rates, the app downloads them and the coin logos from our server, rates.vorb.id, through Cloudflare. Like every web server, it records standard access logs (IP address, time, the address requested and the app's user agent). We use them only to keep the service running and secure, and they are deleted automatically after a limited time. Every user receives the same rates; nothing in the request identifies you to us.
App usage statistics
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used: for example how many people use it each day, in which countries, on which devices and Android versions, how long they use it, which currencies and coins they pick and whether they use the converter or the calculator. For this, Google Analytics collects an app instance ID, your device's advertising ID (where allowed), device and app information, and these usage events. It never receives the amounts you type or your calculations. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics follows your choice in Google's consent form: without your consent, only anonymous measurements without identifiers are sent. Google keeps this data for a limited time and processes it for us under its Firebase privacy and security terms.
Advertising
The app is free and shows a banner ad from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address and information about the ads you see and tap. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent first using Google's consent form, and you can change your choice at any time in the app's settings. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android's settings. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Rates are for information only
Rates are mid-market rates and may be up to a day old for currencies and about 15 minutes old for crypto. Banks, exchanges and money transfer services use their own rates and fees. VorbID Converter is not financial advice.
Children
VorbID Converter is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
