Vorb VPN Privacy Policy

Effective 26 October 2026

This policy explains what information the Vorb VPN Android app ("the app") and its service collect, and why.

No account, no browsing logs

You do not need an account to use Vorb VPN. We do not log the websites you visit, the content of your traffic, or the DNS queries you make.

Information the app sends to us

To run the service, the app sends our server:

  • A random install ID generated on your device, and the Android ID that Android gives each app on your device (it stays the same if you reinstall the app). Neither is linked to your name, phone number, or Google account.
  • Technical details: app version, device model, Android version, and language setting.
  • Connection reports: which VPN server you connected to, whether the connection succeeded, how long it lasted, and how much data was transferred. We use these to rank servers and hide broken ones.
  • Feedback you choose to send, including the email address you enter so we can reply.

The first time you connect successfully we create an anonymous user record (a random user ID linked to the IDs above) with your number of connections, total VPN time and data volume, so we can recognise your device after a reinstall and, in the future, restore paid features.

We keep connection reports for a limited time (30 days by default) and forget install IDs that have not been used for 180 days. To have your user record deleted, email us your user ID (shown in Settings > User ID & Privacy).

VPN servers operated by third parties

The VPN servers offered in the app come from VPN Gate, an academic project run by the University of Tsukuba, Japan. These servers are operated by volunteers, not by us. When you connect, your traffic passes through the volunteer's server and VPN Gate's own policies apply, including its logging of connections. Please read VPN Gate's terms before use. Do not use the service for illegal activity.

Advertising and analytics

The app shows ads from Google AdMob and uses Google Firebase Analytics to measure app usage. These services may collect your device's advertising ID and usage information under Google's Privacy Policy.

If you are in a region where consent is required, the app asks for your consent before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > User ID & Privacy. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings.

Measuring our own ads on Facebook and Instagram

We advertise Vorb VPN on Facebook and Instagram. To learn which of these ads lead people to install the app, the app includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK. Outside the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, it tells Meta Platforms when the app is installed and opened, together with your device's advertising ID, your IP address and basic device information (such as the device model, Android version, language, time zone and mobile carrier). It never sends the servers you use, your connections or your traffic, and you do not need a Facebook account. Meta receives this data with its Limited Data Use option, which applies where US state privacy laws require it. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland the Meta SDK is never started. Learn more in Meta's Privacy Policy.

Data sharing

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers listed above, or when required by law.

Children

The app is not intended for children under 13.
